We are a non-profit organization which promotes wildlife carving and art. The PEI Wildfowl Carvers Association was formed in 1991 by a few ambitious carvers and now consists of 26 members.

Our first competition was held in the fall of 2002, but prior to that some of our carvers had advanced to become world class artists, bringing home ribbons from the Ward (World)Competition in Ocean City, Maryland, as well as ribbons from competitions in Halifax and other Maritime areas.

Many people think that carving wood is a highly skilled art that only a few people have the skills and patience to do it. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Carving is an acquired skill and can be picked up with a bit of practice and instruction. We invite you to come kick up your feet and make some wood chips fly!

2024 COMPETITION will be held July 13th (Saturday) and 14th (Sunday), 2024
